Download Windows Technical Preview

Follow these steps to download Technical Preview:

• Sign up for the Windows Insider Program, if you haven't already.
• Read the system requirements.
• Click one of the Download links on this page to download a special file—it's called an ISO file—that you can use to install the preview.
• When the download is complete, transfer the ISO file to installation media such as a USB flash drive or DVD.
• Boot your PC from the installation media, and then follow the steps to perform a clean install.

Start menu: The familiar Start menu is back, but it brings with it a new customizable space for your favorite apps and Live Tiles.

Everything runs in a window: Apps from the Windows Store now open in the same format that desktop apps do and can be resized and moved around, and have title bars at the top allowing for maximize, minimize, and close with a click.

Snap enhancements: You can now have four apps snapped on the same screen with a new quadrant layout. Windows will also show other apps and programs running for additional snapping and even make smart suggestions on filling available screen space with other open apps.

New task view button: There’s a new task-view button on the taskbar for quick switching between open files and quick access to any desktops you create.

• • You'll need a third-party program to convert the ISO file into installable media—DVD burning software often includes this capability.
  • Remember, trying out an early build like this can be risky. That's why we recommend that you don't install the preview on your primary home or business PC. Unexpected PC crashes could damage or even delete your files, so you should back up everything.
  • If you want to stop using Windows Technical Preview and return to your previous version of Windows, you'll need to reinstall your previous version from the recovery or installation media that came with your PC—typically a DVD. If you don't have recovery media, you might be able to create recovery media from a recovery partition on your PC using software provided by your PC manufacturer. You'll need to do this before you upgrade. Check the support section of your PC manufacturer's website for more info.
  • After you install Windows Technical Preview, you won’t be able to use the recovery partition on your PC to go back to your previous version of Windows.

Google Glass

Kacamata pintar buatan Google akhirnya mendarat di tanah air, namun bagi anda yang ingin segera memilikinya harus bersabar karna untuk sementara Google Glass kaca mata pintar besutan tim Google X itu akan ‘diarak’ di 10 kota besar di Tanah Air.

Telkomsel sebagai operator yang menghadirkan Google glass di tanah air akan memamerkan kacamaa pintar tersebut dalam acara Loop Kepo satu acara yang dihelat Telkomsel yang miliki akronim Loop Kreatif Project. Wearable device itu dipilih sebagai satu bagian dari program roadshow digital experience.

Telkomsel mencoba mendorong para generasi muda untuk terlibat dalam creativepreneur. Lewat Google Glass, operator ‘plat merah’ itu mengajak user untuk membuat aplikasi dengan Google Glass. Bagi mereka yang berkesempatan mengikuti roadshow tersebut, sangat dimungkinkan untuk menjajal langsung Google Glass.

Adita Irawati Vice President Corporate Communications Telkomsel, mengungkapkan "“Salah satu atraksi yang kami bawa adalah kacamata pintar Google Glass, peserta nanti bisa mencobanya satu-satu,” ungkapnya.

Acara Roadshow yang akan berlangsung mulai 14 September hingga 30 November 2014. Ada 10 kota besar yang akan disambangi yakni Bandung, Medan, Lampung, Manado, Makassar, Malang, Surabaya, Yoyakarta, Banjarmasin, dan Denpasar.

Google Glass sendiri telah resmi dijual di Google Play Store untuk model Explore Edition dengan harga Rp 17 jutaan. Telkomsel pernah pula melempar wacana jika ingin memboyong kacamata pintar itu dengan banderol harga di bawah Rp 20 juta.

Google Glass adalah komputer bisa pakai yang sedang dikembangkan oleh Google melalui proyek riset dan pengembanganProject Glass.Perangkat ini menampilkan informasi dalam format bergaya telepon pintar, yang bisa terhubung ke Internetmelalui perintah suara bahasa alami.

Saat ini, kacamata yang diproduksi tidak memiliki lensa terpasang, namun Google sedang mempertimbangkan kemitraan dengan produsen kacamata seperti Ray-Ban atau Warby Parker, serta dengan para pengecer, agar konsumen bisa mencoba perangkat sebelum membelinya.Explorer Edition tidak bisa digunakan oleh orang-orang yang memakai kacamata resep, namun Google telah mengonfirmasi bahwa mereka akan berupaya agar Glass bisa beroperasi dengan lensa yang sesuai dengan resep pemakainya.

Google Glass sedang dikembangkan oleh Google X, yang sebelumnya juga telah mengembangkan teknologi futuristis lainnya seperti mobil swatantra. Proyek ini diumumkan melalui Google+ oleh kepala Project Glass, Babak Parviz, seorang teknisi lensa kontak; Steve Lee, seorang manajer produk dan "spesialis geolokasi"; dan Sebastian Thrun, pengembang Udacity yang juga ikut mengembangkan proyek mobil swatantra.Google telah mematenkan desain Project Glass. Thad Starner, seorang pakar teknologi realitas tertambah, adalah pemimpin teknis proyek ini.
